Premium Wood Floors was founded by Vitor Carvalho and his father Eduardo Carvalho in Atlanta, Georgia. The son and the father had a single mission: to provide the best experience for their customers through quality and excellence in work. Sand and Finish
Hardwood refinishing is simply stripping off the top layer of your floor, restaining and resealing it. It takes away a small layer of wood that has been damaged, bringing your floors back to a like-new look that will make it seem as though your floors are brand new again.
Installations
We will install a completely new floor. ⁃ Hardwood flooring can add warmth, value and style to any room in your home. Hardwood flooring is durable and available in engineered and solid options, as well as a variety of colors. ⁃ Wood floor installation requires a level subfloor and that your hardwood flooring is acclimated to the room’s humidity and temperature according to the manufacturer’s guidelines.
Carpet
Installing new carpet can completely change the look of a room and make it more comfortable. There are two main types of glue down carpet installation. Carpet can be directly glued to the floor, or carpet can be glued to a pad that is itself glued to the floor.
Stairs
We will cut the treads to width with a handheld circular saw or sliding miter saw. We will use construction adhesive and finish nails to install the new risers to cover the existing ones. If we are working with thin hardwood risers, we will predrill the nail holes to avoid splitting the wood.
Railing
A railing attached to a wall must be at least 1¼ inch and no more than 2 inches thick. The support brackets must hold the railing at a distance of at least 1½ inches from the wall and project a maximum of 3½ inches from the wall. The surface of a railing must be smooth, with no sharp corners.
